5.25am . . . was the first time oxygen went into my then tiny healthy lungs. Then 29 odd years later at 5.25 pm i got my first Tattoo. Talk about timing. ha ha ha

I've been wanting to do a tattoo for the longest time, what stop me simply because . . .

1. i got scared cause last time got no proper tattoo workshop, they do it in the comfort of their house . . . so basically everything not clean lah, cept probably the needle but then again you wouldn't know now would you?

2. couldn't decide on the design, first i wanted a cross, then i wanted a fairy, then some tribal thingy (Jy its OK you can forget about the tattoo design now, i don't need it anymore, thanks anyway ^_^) but all of them doesn't really have any real meaning just some tattoo design. So in the end can't decide.

3. i was worried about the pain. Hey 30 minutes or more continuous pain is not something everyone looking forward to okay. Don't know bout my cousins tho, they seem to like it. hehe

but then, one fine day . . . no i think it was at night (probably the moon is blue too) i received an sms saying that for Christmas 2007 all the cousins are going to get a Tattoo.

WHAT!!!!!! okay that time the fear didn't really kicked in cause i thought heck December was a long way to go and they might forget about it. How wrong i was, by November everyone started looking or talking bout tattoo designs.

As usual in the clan when all 7 heads started thinking . . . we couldn't come up with anything. Shait! and for the longest time too ha ha. Someone said Leaf cause it symbolizes the family name, then someone said do the Chinese Character of the family name. Heck i even suggested Care bears if we really couldn't decide (the dates of the actual tattooing was getting nearer). Then they settled for the Ankh Tattoo, if you want to know about the cross click Here cause i malas want to explain.

So on the 6th of January 2008, 5 cousins agreed on doing it, the Ankh tattoo i mean, (3 have done it, 2 more to go) me and another cousin couldn't do it so i opted for the leaf tattoo while the other cousin go for an engraving of initials, her initials lah. This time fear plus excitement plus doubt plus "what in the world have i gotten myself into now!!" feelings jumbled up inside me. R turned into a Vampire . . . pucat habis! Doesn't help the fact that there's a bunch of guys getting the tattoo first before us and the sound of the needle is not something thats comforting to your scared ears.

I got my design from TattooFinder.com its a "pay-to-print" tattoo website but you can find almost any tattoo from there.

You might be thinking "A big tattoo for a first timer?!!". Yea might as well right?? Get your moneys worth. Then you can experience the pain, every single part of it then you can decide whether you are addicted to it. ha ha ha

To tell you the truth it is not as painful as i imagine it would be. Maybe my threshold of pain is high. There are certain parts where the pain was intense but it was like a short burst so it's kinda bearable. The real pain is when the whole tattoo is completed and they put dettol to clean it. OMG!!! Ouch YA!! Imagine you got cut or scrape and you put lemon on your wound. That's how the pain felt like. Can't sleep, can't bend heck i can't even sit properly cause everytime the tattoo brush onto something it hurts. Hurts for one day and a half. Now as i'm typing this the pain is not so intense. Phew. (Gy and Sc thanks for being there).

The funny thing is . . . i'm already thinking of getting another one haha . . . you think the Super Mario Mushroom would look cool?? Or the Baddy?? Heck now i can't decide again.

Tattoo done by Jim, Black Ink, Tg Aru 1st beach. Bring a bottle of Vodka if you want to do it. Not only for drinking but pouring on to the finish work as well.
