Finally went to watch Stardust on the big screen.

Finally manage to tear myself from the computer long enough to read the book and every penny spent and every waking moment is not wasted in this great title. Movie and book alike. Of course the book is more detailed than the movie but i gotta praise the director in making the movie entertaining and fun. For someone who hasn't heard or read about Neil Gaiman's works, watch the movie first before reading the book.

I bought the book way heyyyyy even before the release date of the movie. ha ha but it was kept well hidden so that i wont be tempted to read it. Don't want to spoil the effect of the movie and the magic that it will bring me.

The movie itself was great, there were many great spoffs as well. ha ha. The best thing is, i went to watch at Cathay cinema and they actually do Hot Dog delivery (dayum they were good) and the biggest dog you can bite into. When you are hungry everything is nice so don't really trust my tummy, i'm biased. The seats are so comfortable you don't feel the crick of your back and neck from sitting too long after the movie. Okay back to the movie. Michele Pfeiffer (how in the world you spell her name) looks so HAWT for someone at her age. She's absolutely stunning heck she is even more gorgeous than the other two female character in the movie and she plays a witch for goodness sake. Robert Deniro is also in the movie and he plays one heck of a role. Not bad for a cloud captain. The whole cinema had a good laugh everytime he comes on screen.

Although hardcore fans of the book / comic will grimace that the producers omitted some story on young Dunstan Thorns life and change a whole lot of how Tristan found the Star, nonetheless they still made up a good story. It's suppose to be a family movie by the way so they gotta edit a whole lot of the gory part. The ending of the story change a whole lot too. So that the little ones wont cry at the end (yes ruth its a happy ending) unlike the book. he he he

But you gotta hand it to Neil Gaiman, the entire movie consist of not one, not two but three different story altogether and it manage to fit well and merge into one story right at the end. There are some moments where the tale doesnt any make sense, like the unicorn that came out of nowhere . . . (only when you read the book it make sense) and Tristans miracle hair (it baffled me still).

Please don't watch any of the previews that they show on Tv, just get your lazy butts off the couch and go buy a movie ticket already. I'm tired of telling you how good this movie is cause i'm gotta go and wait patiently for the next one. Beowulf. Also by Neil Gaiman, well he's writing the screen adaptation of it, still . . . i so love this guy.
