So now you know!: Manila Long Overdue

Yeah yeah i know i know . . . i'm suppose to update on the trip but the lazy bug has got to me somehow so instead of some boring long winded i just post some random photos and go with it. ha ha yea i malas still.

Touch down Clark airport, Manila and we saw this . . . Macapagal Diosdado International airport haha it's not even called Clark

The first thing we gotta do before custom check is to fill out forms. Stupid flight attendants didn't give us the forms on the plane. So the whole airport looks like some exam hall haha. Taxi ride to the hotel wa almost two hours because of the rain. We were smart enough not to take the bus. I shudder to think how long that will take. Manila road are beyond words to describe, drivers use their 'Honk' instead of the normal left and right signals to turn and they basically honk just about every 2 to 5 seconds.

Best Western La Corona Hotel. Our hotel for this trip No Thanks to Air Asia. Apparently this hotel is right smack in the middle of the red light district. So no going out alone at night if you value your life. Serious! If you're in a group and in need of some wild night adventure then maybe this is the place for you cause the area is swamped with pubs and massage parlours and special clubs (if you get my drift).

Their Armoured trucks look like lego trucks. haha

First day dinner was at TGIF, Greenbelt. yeah i know, of all the places to eat why pick there?

Reason No.1# because our taxi driver got us lost.

Reason No.2# it was so bloody late we were dying of hungers

Reason No.3# we don't know where else to go to look for food.

The next day we found out that there's alot more good restaurant behind, just a short distance walk. hahaha

The next day we decided to go for cheap shoppings at Greenhills. That took us another 1 to 2 hours taxi ride. Almost everyone bought watches haha. If you like cheap watches and cheap LV and Gucci and Prada bags then Greenhills is the place to go. If you're not into all that then don't bother. Cause the journey is just to tiring. Stuck in a cab under a blipping hot sun??? for 2 hours??? you make your own choice then.

Second night Dinner is at Tapas Restaurant at Greenbelt (yeah we know odi where to go this time haha)

Day 3

In order to become the perfect tourist, we all decided to go for a walk in the park, haha sight seeing in Manila without sun block is hazardous to your skin. Walk to Rizal park and then catch a horse to Intramuros. The famous fort city in Manila. (photo's in my photo album, go click on it) I think we spend almost 2 hours in that fort, the poor horse almost gave up on us. I mean it almost died. Arg! never again. Next time i walk. Then lunch at some restaurant inside the fort for some local food. Not really that exotic. Viv tried the cow's tongue tho. haha and Gy tried the Ox tail and tripe in peanut sause. haha (post pictures in next entry)

After Intramuros went to SM Mall at some place that also took us another hour of taxi ride. Oh man luckily we'd settle the fare with the cab driver cause ten minutes into the ride everyone konked out in the taxi. It's a big cab that can fit all 9 of us. hehe

Day 4

Where in the world did we go? Oh ya went back to greenbelt. More shopping. The place is crowded with humans. haha . . viv went for a mass at one of the shopping malls while the rest of the girls went inside Zara to splurge. Mass inside a mall? who would have thought.

Nothing much 'cept shop and shop and shop and shop. Oh ya and massage after that. Basically we went for massage everynite after along day of shopping haha. Tried two massage place. One at a very nice place called Santorino Spa ( i might gotten the name wrong), and another place right smack in the red district where they give some extra extra massage for the guys if you ask for it. Chris?? Did you?? hehe

Last day

Decided to go to Robinson before loading all the heavy (almost overflowing for some people) luggage in the taxi. Robinson Mall in Ermita is so much better than the SM mall that we went on the 3rd day. Shait. Everyone did their last minute shopping. Just to finish up all the pesos.
