Silent Hill!

Have you ever played this game before? or even heard of this game?? Its a PS2 game from Konami. The super scary 'will shit in your pants' type of scary game that i refuse to buy and play (or even looked at anyone playing it). Those japanese game developers really know how to make your heart stops and jumps to your throat. The game's a bit sick tho. with unbelivably gruesome looking monster and your character is a small school girl who's lost in a big house. Ya if anyone has a history of heart attack i suggest to skip this game. But if you got a thing for scary stuff go and attempt this game. They made it to part 4 so go get the collections.

Recently Hollywood has decided to make a movie out of this game. I dunno why . . . maybe some wires got disconnected in my brain, I happily went and bought the movie. But it took me 3 whole weeks to finally have the guts to watch it and the best thing is . . . being the fact that i'm the No.1 'Guntalow' in the family i watched it in the afternoon with my cousin. haha

Okay first 10mins into the movie i was already freaking out. Its not really that super scary but there are elements in that movie that make you want to scoot under the bed and block all noise to your ears. Plus the fact that i know a little bit of the game and then don't know why that day my brain somehow remembers all the game previews so vividly and it combine that with the movie. Brilliant. Thanks a lot brain.

Imagine yourself stuck in a house with all these monsters and you got nowhere to run and all you got is a flashlight as a weapon. . . the monsters are attracted to the light by the way yes thank you very much. To make things worst the whole place is covered in ash so it makes the setting eerie looking and they had to include a child actress in it. Makes it more scary don't you think? Then there's the usual plot where no one seems to be around and there's so many rooms to explore. Hait! being the concerned mother looking for her child . . . go and open all the doors and every shadow looks like her kid and every cries sounds like her daughter and every time she wants to run away there's always some freaking roadblock. Arrrrgg!!! just get the heck out of there Damn It!!! Okay when finally the super human heroine battery (she just keep on going and going and going) manage to find some human contact in that eerie place (dont understand why there are still humans living in such a haunted place . . . BodohSS!!) she got branded as a witch and they cast her out or wanted her to burn at the stake . . . geezzz . . . give her a break! and because she is soooo determine to find her lost daughter she wanted to go to the source of all evil. Heck Yeah why not? Since she got nowhere else to go to might as well tackle the big boss himself. Sometimes i wonder where they get the inspiration to write this script?

In the end it has a very good ending (you gotta see it yourself) and because me and my cousin was not really paying our utmost attention to the movie we gotta rewind to the beginning to figure out the ending. hehe.

So for the ultimate effect you gotta watch it at night (like my colleague) to really feel the Chill. Don't worry its not like Ju On or something. You can still go to the toilet or drive home after that. You might even fall asleep haha

This is just a review from a somewhat scaredy cat. I must really be high on something when i bought this movie. Seriously! So i guess it will take me another 6 months before i attempt another scary movie like this.
